About me!

I'm Caterina Del Sordo, born in one of the world's most beautiful cities—Florence! Continuously enriched by fruitful academic wanderings across Europe, I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of the Basque Country, as well as a teaching assistant at the University of Florence and at Unicusano in Rome. In 2024–2025, I was a research fellow at the Institute Vienna Circle (University of Vienna).

I hold a double international PhD (Philosophy, Univeristy of the Basuqe Coutnry, Spain; Basic Sciences & Applications, Univeristy of Urbino, Italy), and in March 2025 I obtained the Italian national habilitation as Associate Professor in Theoretical Philosophy. My research lies at the crossroads of logical empiricism, epistemology, and the history and philosophy of science, with a particular focus on the early Rudolf Carnap.

Outside academia, I've been a martial artist for over twenty years. I also enjoy knitting, making homemade soap, and spending time with my dog, Simba. Above all, I never miss the chance to debate philosophy—especially over a strong espresso or a sparkling glass of prosecco! I would be delighted to hear from you, whether for collaboration or simply to connect.
